About Me
My name is Sandra Oki and I am a skilled early years and Primary School practitioner. I also produce educational youtube videos for young children under the banner, ‘Sandra Sunshine Sessions’. These are musical, creative and inspirational in content. Also over the years my writing has evolved.
My calling is to produce hope filled pieces to encourage and affirm individuals, to work with and inspire children, as well as utilising my gifts and abilities as an act of worship to God. According to a well known minister, ‘I am a very talented and creative writer, singer, musician and educator’.
Personal Life
Both my late parents were ministers and my youngest sister has accepted the pastoral mantle albeit there is a distinctive call and anointing upon all my siblings to serve and impact. I recommitted my life to Christ more than 35 years ago at a Luis Palau Evangelistic Crusade in London.
As a mother, I have been exceptionally blessed to birth 2 beautiful children. Whilst my daughter has passed away, I have an incredible ‘right hand’ son, his partner and 2 beautiful, delicious grandchildren.
One impact of my daughter passing away 16 years ago was my increased desire and intensity to seek God and spend time in his presence. This has resulted in a bespoke anointing to write, sing, teach, affirm and encourage. One individual likened it to ‘my pain catapulting me to victory’. To God be the glory. Hence Sandra Sunshine Sessions have resulted and are currently evolving.
My first book
My first book ‘Beautiful Bespoke Blessings’ is an inspirational download from the Holy Spirit for some individuals that I know, as well as generic pieces for everyone. Therein readers will find a compilation of poems for birthdays, a wedding, remembrance days and more. My hope is that lives will be touched, transformed, healed and renewed as they read the poems I have penned, in the same tangible way as those I wrote for.
I am a member of the New Testament Church of God, College Street, Northampton, NN1 2QP, where my Book Launch will be held on Saturday 9th December 2023, between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm.
Whenever I am commissioned to write or feel prompted to, for a specific occasion, my simple prayer to God is ‘What would you like me to say to this person’. I am always humbled to receive specific downloads directly from the Holy Spirit, as to what I need to pen.
People find my writings inspirational and they are often moved emotionally, ministered to spiritually and inspired to be hopeful for their future.
